is a owned and operated by the Downey family in Stevensville, MD who in turn are
owned by 5 wonderful, lovable Boxers! The
business was created and developed by family member Beth Downey who is very involved
in the Boxer Breed, has shown and bred multiple champion Boxers, and is an active member of the American Boxer Club, Maryland Boxer
Club, American Boxer Charitable Foundation, and the Talbot Kennel Club. Our
family has
been blessed with having Boxers snuggled on our couch and sharing their wet kisses
since 1987! Here at BoxerHaus we want to
provide our customers with a large selection of products featuring the Boxer Breed! We
carry a variety of unique gifts, collectibles, and a few pet supplies guaranteed to
satisfy you, your Boxer friends, and that very special Boxer in your life! We

BoxerHaus.com
was born out of a passion for Boxers. It all began when I was a little girl
and fell head over heels in love with my grandmother's beautiful, wonderful, playful
Boxers - I was hopelessly smitten! Now that I am grown, I have been loved by Boxers
in my own home since 1987. As years went by, I became even more deeply involved in
the breed. I have now been breeding and showing boxers since 1995 under my grandmother's
kennel name Amity
Hall Boxers and, with limited breeding, I am the proud breeder of multiple AKC
champion Boxers to date! My Boxers are spoiled family members and honestly, I couldn't
imagine life without my Boxers in it! Being a lover
of Boxers, I was also fond of online shopping for Boxer gifts and collectibles
and for products to also further spoil and pamper my Boxer kids. I found shopping
for Boxer items to be frustrating and tedious as I found myself having to visit
a multitude of websites in an attempt to locate a variety of product options to
choose from. So I thought to myself - Wouldn't
it be wonderful to have one website to visit that offered a myriad of Boxer items
to choose from? And wouldn't it be grand if that website offered unique and
customized gifts
as well? Oh! How about if that website also offered merchandise my Boxer could
also be spoiled by? The BoxerHaus dream
had evolved...
Boxer History
The Boxer Breed originated
in Germany and was originally bred for bull baiting, boar and bear hunting, and
as a faithful watch dog. Additionally, in the United States, the Boxer was employed
as one of the breeds of dogs which loyally served as "war dogs" during
World War II. In the early 1900's the first
Boxers were imported to the United States. These Boxers were descendants from
the famous Vom Dom kennels of Frau Stockman in Germany. It is important to note,
the renowned "Four Horsemen of Boxerdom" who became the foundation of American
Boxers. Their names were Sigurd v. Dom, Int. Ch. Lustig v. Dom, Ch. Utz v.Dom,
and Int. Ch. Dorian v. Marienhof. For a full history of the Boxer, please refer

Descending from the lines of Ch. Dorian
v. Marienhof was the famous Ch. Bang Away of Sirrah Crest, SOM, LOM born on February
17, 1949. Bang Away to date holds the title of Most All Breed Best in Shows with
121 wins, he was only defeated 5 times. The producer of 81 American champions,
Bang Away also to this day is the top U.S. Boxer sire of all time and noted as
the most influential sire in American Boxer history. Bang Away effectively changed
the appearance of the Boxer in the U.S. from the shorter legged, cobby German
style of Boxer to what we see currently in the American Boxers which are taller,
higher stationed and more elegant in appearance.
